Soucie, Lucille (Belanger) - September 21, 2014


BERLIN - Lucille (Belanger) Soucie, 96, formerly of Berlin, widow of Edmond Thomas Soucie, died Sunday evening (September 21, 2014) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Caribou, Maine, daughter of the late Vital and the late Alma (Thibodeau) Belanger, she was a member of St. Paulís Church. She is survived by three sons, Roger J. Soucie of Plainville, Lee B. Soucie of Kensington, and Ronald P. Soucie of Glastonbury, one daughter, Mary Ann Soucie of Wolcott, ten grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Doreen S. Martin. Lucille was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who always put her children first. Her hobbies were making beautiful afghans and delicious banana breads. A Funeral Liturgy will be held Thursday (September 25, 2014) at 10am DIRECTLY AT St. Paulís Church, 467 Alling Street, Kensington section of Berlin. Burial will follow in Maple Cemetery, Berlin. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimerís Association, Connecticut Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067. Her family wants to thank Glastonbury Health Care for their kindness and compassion during the last 10 months that she was a resident, and also the nurses and CNAs, too numerous to mention, who were all wonderful to her.
