WEST HARTFORD - Mary “Polly” (Wilcox) Frisbie, 84, of West Hartford, widow of Edward Lawrence Frisbie, died Monday (July 6, 2015) at Hughes Health & Rehabilitation in West Hartford. Born in New Britain, daughter of the late Samuel Churchill Wilcox and the late Pearl (Cashman) Wilcox, she graduated from St. Mary’s School in Waterbury, and Southern Seminary. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, active in the Humane Society, and loved gardening. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Prior and his wife Vivian of Orlando, Florida, and William and Brenda Prior of Newington, a brother and sister-in-law, John and Cindy Wilcox of Dummerston, Vermont, a sister and brother-in-law, Judith and Roger Martin of Swanzey, New Hampshire, five grandchildren, Sarah (Prior) Beach and her husband David, Danny Prior and his wife Felicia, Jon Prior and his fiancé Bernadette Garcia, David Prior and his wife Michele, and Rachel Prior, two great-grandchildren, Cameron Prior and David Beach II, and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in Wilcox Cemetery, East Berlin, at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
